I coordinate the EDP 101 program, “Learning Strategies for Academic Success” and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in education and educational psychology. In the summer, I teach the study strategies part of a summer intervention program for at-risk, native WV college-bound students. In addition to my training in Educational Psychology with a specialization in Learning and Development, I hold a graduate certificate in gerontology. As a result of these joint interests I have completed research in the area of adult problem solving. I am also interested in medical education as it pertains to studying and learning and have co-authored articles on reading and healthcare professional students. Also I am a certified social studies teacher for grades 5 through 12. I am a native West Virginian and was actually born in Morgantown. Presently I reside with my husband, Terry, in Marion County. Finally I am director of senior ministry at Noah’s Ark Assembly of God church.
