Research Interests

Since 2007 I have had twenty-five publications that reflect my interests on a variety of subjects, including: teaching philosophy, controversial public issues, Holocaust education, citizenship education, social studies methodology, and the use of the Internet in social studies classrooms


BIOGRAPHY

I have a Ph.D. from Purdue University in Curriculum and Instruction with emphasis in Social Studies/History Education, and Teacher Education. I also have a MS from Indiana University in Secondary Education and Government. I currently serve as director of the WVU Center for Democracy and Citizenship Education and West Virginia Project Citizen. In addition I am a tenured associate professor of social studies education.
