I have had the privilege of working in the field of education in West Virginia for over twelve years, seven of which were spent as a public high school teacher of mathematics, dance education, and Spanish. I played a leadership role in my school as I held positions on the faculty senate, 5 Year Strategic Planning Committee, GoGlobal team, professional development team, and PLC group. Additionally, I have had the opportunity to work as a curriculum designer and professional development facilitator for the West Virginia Department of Education and as a writer and reviewer of dance education standards at the state and national levels. I have developed dance education programs for West Virginia public schools and continue to champion this endeavor. Currently, I direct the undergraduate elementary education program at West Virginia University and teach professional education courses within the College of Education and Human Services.
